As of August 19, it’s been 78 days since our Lutheran sibling Natalie and three of her friends were taken at gunpoint from their student apartment by the Israeli military. They join thousands of Palestinians held without charge in Israeli detention.

Natalie Abudayyeh is a Palestinian member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land (ELCJLC) and has been held since June 2. The Israeli court recently refused to grant her bail. She hasn’t been able to see or speak with any of her family, and her lawyer has only been able to communicate with her in limited video chats.

Natalie is in the Damon prison where Palestinian women experience harsh conditions and are deprived of basic human rights guaranteed by International Law. ELCJLC Bishop Dr. Imad Haddad continues to ask for our advocacy and prayers for Natalie’s safety and freedom.
